Hmm - I'm bored

Hey Y'all!
Well it's been a long time since I've updated on this, now that I have a myspace! However my myspace is currently being evil and not working, so here I am! I can't believe today is my last day in my hometown here in Thailand! First thing tomorrow, we are headed to Bangkok - and then on Monday - HOME! I'm excited! I miss my family a bunch, so I'm pretty eager to see them. And of course all my palls back at p-town! I'm all packed up and ready to head to Bangkok - my "room" looks really emtpy right now - it's slightly depressing - haha.
Well y'all - Have a wonderful day! I can't wait to see you again!
Love,
Mandie

Yo Yo!!!!!

Hello from the big city of Phangna!

Well tomorrow will be my first day at the local High School, so I'm very excited yet quite nervous about that! Thanks for everyone who has been praying for me at the Elementary school, because that is going really well! God has already opened doors for me to start sharing the Gospel with some of the teachers, so things are going really well there! To add icing to the cake (Whoa- it's been a month since I've had Cake! ) the teacher actually ASKED me if I would share about American religion! Talk about a God thing! So I will hopefully get a chance to do that pretty soon!

Here's a picture from the local Primary school -6th grade kids! :D

On a less happy note, I got pretty darn sick this weekend! For those of you who haven't traveled to foriegn countries before, be very careful what you eat, cause it hurts! But luckily I'm feeling pretty good now! Speaking of food, around here they have this stuff called "Sticky Rice" - it's the craziest stuff I've ever seen! It's rice that actually sticks together, as the name implies, so you can eat it with your fingers. It's actually quite good when you add garlic to it!

Now onto a more personal note, my host family here is awesome! They are all very very sweet!

Well that's it y'all! I've gotta run for now, love y'all and thanks so much for all the prayers and love!

Love,

Mandie

Yehaaw!

So here I am at the local internet cafe in Phang-na, Thailand! Everything is going really great, and I'm in a pretty good mood at the moment. I just got out of school, where I am now working two days a week - and another local High School one day a week. To top that off - we already have another small group coming every night at 5! Life is good, and ministry is definately in full swing now!

We have done alot of touristy kind of stuff this week as well as visiting the local schools. There is a beautiful park nearbye with monkeys, caves, a amazingly gorgeous river running through., and all sorts of cool stuff. Then of course the big city of Phuket has all sorts of stuff to do there - from malls to the Thia version of Wal-Mart (Big City), to movies, bowling, and also the beach. We are going to ride elephants sometime - that'll be fun!

Hmm - I can also add that my family here in Thailand is pretty cool too! I'm already pretty close to Libby, my 13 year old "sister". Last night, little Josh (The youngest child in the family - 6 years old) even wanted to sleep in my bed last night. Of course that's a one time deal, he about drove me nutts - haha.

Well I guess that's about all to report for now!

Oh y'all - somebody send sweets - I haven't had real sweeets since I've been here - I"M DYING!!!!!!!!!!! haha - just being dramatic, but some jelly beans would be greatly appreciated.

Love y'all!

I'm in Thailand!

Well for those of you who are keeping up with me on this - I am alive and well in Bankok Thailand! In my first day I already had a great witnessing upportunity brought to you buy my Purity ring! It was really cool, because a young lady about my age asked me about my purity ring - and I explained what it meant to her. She was so amazed that I would want to remain a virgin because of my faith in God. We also visited a Buddhist Temple - where I learned that they worship trees!

Some weird things in Thailand... A - the showers have on off buttons instead of knobs, and a little lever you push up and down to adjust the tempature. The toilets are also very interesting - because they are basically buried underground. Instead of sitting on "the pot" - you squat down over it! haha

Well that is about all I have to write about today. I love y'all and thanks to everyone who has prayed for me and supported me on this mission! I appreciate it all so much!

Well signing out from the great country of  Thailand,

Mandie Rose Aaron

Yeehaw!

Hmm -well I guess the whole xanga craze is about over - but I do have a Myspace now - with my current e-mail address for those of you that have it. Or if you are from Crosspoint - look for me in Jason and/or Katie's friend list....

Well now - I have to say life is good! I just got back from a rocking family vacation of Whitewater rafting. It was crazy cool - 8 foot waterfalls - the works! Oh yes - pics coming soon on my Myspace! Graduation photos will also be soon to see there!

Haha - well that's all for now. If I don't get any comments I"m about done with xanga for now. Love y'all and see ya on Myspace!

Love,

Mandie
